The Adventure of a Lifetime Week 7

Home– There is not a better feeling than coming home after a long trip. Even though you might of have a blast on vacation you are still excited to come back home. I can remember going camping with my parents and friends for several days and sometimes nearly two weeks. The entire time I loved every second of it. I enjoyed sleeping in a tent or camper hearing the frogs chirping and the rattle of the locusts. I loved sitting around the fire waiting for our food to cook or just passing the time telling stories. I was especially fond of going fishing in the river or lake nearby. I have countless memories of amazing times spent camping but no matter what, I was always excited to be back home and enjoy the comforts that can only be found there.

The same is true with Heaven. No matter how blessed of a life we live here on earth it will compare nothing to how awesome Heaven will be. The Bible offers us a few insights into just how amazing Heaven will be when we get there. (Describe heaven through bible verses, no more tears, no more pain…) It is fitting that this is the 7th article in the series since 7 is the number of completion. The greatest adventure has the greatest ending.

I have been blessed beyond measure in the short adventure I have been able to live and I honestly haven’t deserved any of the blessings I have received. I have been blessed with an unheard of Godly, loving, and devoted family; I was born in the greatest country on earth; I get to do what I love, which is being in God’s creation; I have never had to struggle to long to find a job; and most importantly I have been blessed to serve a loving God. As, great and as blessed as my life has been up until this point I cannot wait until the day I get to see the face of God and hear Him say well done my good and faithful servant. That day will be the day that the greatest ending to the greatest adventure finally comes. But until that day I will continue to live a life of adventure and devotion to God, to the best of my ability. If you not living the greatest adventure I strongly encourage you to start this very moment. God is waiting for you to call out to Him. It is as simple as saying with your mouth and believing with your heart this prayer: Father thank you for sacrificing your only Son to die on a cross for me. Jesus I want you to come live on my heart and lead me daily in your ways. In your name I pray Amen. If that was the first time you prayed that prayer I strongly encourage you to tell someone; a friend or family member that is a Christian is a great place to start! If you don’t know any Christians feel free to email me and I will be more than happy to celebrate with you!
