The Adventure of a Lifetime Week 3

Lost– Darkness all around, creepy sounds surrounding, panic, fear, and desperation, confusion, lost. It can be terribly freighting being lost, especially if you’re alone. I have been lost several times in the woods at night, in the city, and following the GPS to the wrong location. Out of all the times I have been lost the only times that have truly been frightening were when I was alone. Being alone generally makes any scary situation scarier. That is why I am thankful God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (find the verse). In any situation God is with us. God has led me on some great adventures but there have been times when I have taken the wheel and gotten myself lost. I thought I knew where I needed to go but it ended up I did not even know where I was going in life. I headed for popularity and my own selfish desires. I quickly discovered they didn’t fulfill my life in any way, shape, or form. After a while of living this way, I remembered that these feelings of desperation, confusion, fright, panic, and helplessness were not what God has intended for my life. (“For God did not give you a spirit of fear.”) So I cried out to God and asked for forgiveness and for Him to take control of my life again. Now this was not just only one instance in my life this has happened countless times and each time I have discovered God is (Faithful and just to forgive us our sins). When you get lost, it often times leads to the greatest discoveries in life. That is if you are willing to allow God to work through your life.
