Seriously, is there actually a negative side to porn? It’s a natural feeling, being attracted to the naked body of the opposite sex.
It’s natural to act on those feelings of attraction, right? The feeling that porn brings is euphoric, at least for a moment.
I work at a coal mine with regular blue collar Joes; hard working, tough, and most of the time decent guys. A majority of them have a porn or booby calendar in their truck or in the cab of the heavy equipment they operate.
They don’t see the harm in having a woman’s breasts, who is not their wife, hanging up in their cab. The way they say it, “Just because I’m on a diet doesn’t mean I can’t look at the menu.”
Several of these same guys have had failed marriages, or are presently struggling to keep their marriage afloat.
They can’t see the reasons, the many reasons, why porn really is that bad.
Cheap Empty Life
At first, you might begin looking at a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition magazine.
Then quickly transition into topless pictures, which shortly escalate into hardcore porn videos all to catch that next high since the last one didn’t deliver what it had promised.
Porn progresses further than simply watching porn.
You become numb to the effects of porn and begin to crave a higher high which leads to cheap relationships with women who you are not married too nor do you have any intentions of marrying.
Porn will begin to control your life.
Mind control
Porn will consume your mind.
It will be what you think about constantly.
Your committing adultery, just as Jesus said, “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Believing the lie of pornography will ruin your marriage.
Destination ______ (Nowhere)
You begin to compare your significant other to the imaginary women you are captivated by on the computer screen.
You pay to see another man’s grown daughter, who is not your wife, do everything under the sun except make love the way God intended, while your own daughter cries out for your attention at home.
Porn will take over your life if you let it. It will write the story of your past, present and, future when you allow it.
The beautiful thing is it is up to you.
You can write it into your past today.
This is your story. You write it, not pornography.
How do I know this? I lived the life of a porn addict. I hid it well, very well actually, so well no one knew until I confessed my addiction to them.
I ruined friendships and several relationships; I used women for my own pleasure, and became a father in high school.
Every single one of those decisions can be traced back in one way or another to my porn addiction, which I refused to get it under control at the time.
I still fight every single moment of every day to keep it out of my present story.
I nearly let porn write a terrible tragedy; devoid of meaning, hope, and satisfaction into my life story.
I changed the setting and direction of my life story.
You can too. You have the power to change your story.
Begin writing the story you will want to tell your grandchildren, today!
Now it’s time for you to decide; is porn really that bad?
