As a church we are focused on getting people to church. We create programs for the kids, young adults, the elderly all directed to get them to the church.
Yet, as I read scripture more and more I don’t see that as how Jesus or any of His earliest followers set out to do. I see them as going out, bringing Jesus to where the people who needed Him most were at. I feel as though the church wants to grow just to build a bigger building.
Instead of forgetting about the building and simply bringing more people to Jesus. Jesus isn’t restricted to a building.
Go out into all the world and be the Church.
